New CEO visits Irish facilities

Leslie C. Davis who has taken over as CEO and President at UPMC has been visiting the UPMC facilities in Ireland.

She said, “Our health care teams in Waterford, Cork, Kilkenny, and Kildare – now over 800 employees strong –  have demonstrated their commitment to delivering life-changing medicine to communities close to home. 

“So many welcomes during the visit, and I wish to express my gratitude to everyone who made my trip so memorable. 
 
“We are committed to continuing our partnership with the national health system, and UPMC wishes to be a key partner in the Irish health system of the future. We have the team in Ireland to make this happen.

Ms. Davis has succeeded Jeffrey A. Romoff as President and Chief Executive Officer.  The company said, “She has more than 30 years of health care experience, having most recently served as President of the Health Services Division at UPMC. In her roles, she has been responsible for leading UPMC’s 40-hospital system with operations across Pennsylvania, Maryland and New York. She has played a large role in positioning UPMC as a health care innovator and directed the organisation’s efforts to improve the patient experience, provide superb patient care and enhance employee and physician engagement.”
