The new UCL Global Business School for Health (UCL GBSH) has launched an MBA focused on health and healthcare management, with Dr Julie Davies as programme director.
Based in London, the UCL GBSH is the world’s first business school dedicated to health.
A qualified executive coach and psychometric assessor, Dr Davies has significant senior leadership experience in business and management education. Previously a Reader at Manchester Metropolitan, she has also delivered the Open University’s MBA for over 25 years. Dr Davies has a PhD in strategic management at Warwick University, an MBA and MA in Education, a law degree and a first degree in modern languages
On the MBA Health programme, students will gain the knowledge of a traditional MBA while focusing on the practical application of leadership and management skills in health care. This includes a consultancy project working with a health sector client and a Global Health Project where students travel to a low- or middle-income country to devise solutions to a health system problem.
Applications for the MBA Health programme are currently open, with the programme starting in September 2022.
