Three finalists were highly praised by the judging panel in the 2017 HMI Leaders Award. Maureen Browne reports.
The 2017 Leaders Award was won jointly by The WALKways Tallaght Hospital Project and the Blackrock Hall Men’s Group.
The three other projects which reached the finals and were presented to the Judging Panel in the RCSI were:
- The implementation of an innovative nursing role, presented by Shauna Ennis, Clinical Support Nurse Manager at Night, Tallaght Hospital.
- Move to Community – St. Raphaels’ Centre – The Role of the Community Transition Coordinator , presented by Deborah Harrington, St. Raphael’s, Youghal, Cork.
- Adult Homeless Integrated Service, presented by Dr Anna Marie Naughton, St. Finbarr’s Hospital, Cork, Adult Homeless Integrated Team, CHO 4.
