Most of the country’s hospitals received an increase in funding for 2017 compared to 2016, but they are all facing tough targets for income which they are expected to raise during the year. Maureen Browne reports.
Dublin Midland Hospital Group:
St. James’s Hospital, Dublin will have a total allocation of €332,085,049 within which it will be expected to generate income of €103.7 million.
Tallaght Hospital will have a total budget of €191,520,803, including an income target of €52.5 million.
The Coombe Hospital will have a total budget of €55,083,375, including an income target of €16.5 million.
Naas Hospital will have an available budget of 58,215,250, including an income target of €8.7 million.
Portlaoise Hospital’s available budget is €57,473,723, including an income target of €6.6 million.
Tullamore Hospital’s available budget will be €92,971,039, including an income target of €13.4 million.
St. Luke’s Radiation Oncology Network’s available budget is €40,995,577, including an income target of €5.1 million.
South/South West Hospital Group:
Cork University Hospital will receive a budget of €274,015,000, and is expected to generate an additional income of €79.9 million.
Mallow General Hospital will be allocated €16,803,000 and is expected to generate €3.6 million in income.
Bantry General Hospital will receive €17,248,000 and is expected to generate a further €3.6 million.
University Hospital Kerry has been allocated €78.259,000 and is expected to raise a further €14.7 million.
Mercy University Hospital has been allocated €73,680,000 and is expected to raise €24.6 million.
The South Infirmary-Victoria University Hospital has been allocated €51,661,000, plus an income target of €18.5 million.
University Hospital, Waterford will receive €166,603,000, with an income target of €30 million.
South Tipperary General Hospital will receive €56,222,000 and is expected to generate €9.4 million.
Kilcreene Orthopaedic Hospital will receive €6,627,000, with an income target of €1 million.
RCSI Group:
Beaumont Hospital, Dublin has been allocated a net budget of €275,711,999 for 2017.
Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda will receive a net budget of €144,222,155.
Louth Hospital will receive a net budget of €20,767,029.
Cavan Monaghan Hospital will receive a net budget of €93,037,542.
The Rotunda Hospital, Dublin as been allocated a net budget of €50,931,668.
Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown, Dublin has been allocated a net budget of €97,333,142.
UL Group:
Did not make figures available on the allocations they have made to each of their constituent hospitals for 2017.
Ireland East:
The Mater University Hospital in Dublin has received a net budget of €243,001,000, with an income target of €67.4 million.
St. Vincent’s University Hospital in Dublin has received an allocation of €228,056,000, with an income target of €62.6 million.
St. Michael’s Hospital in Dun Laoghaire has received an allocation of €24,856,000, with an income target of €8.5 million.
The National Maternity Hospital in Dublin has received an allocation of €52,634,000, with an income target of €18.4 million.
The Royal Victoria Eye & Ear Hospital has received an allocation of €23,987,000, with an income target of €4.9 million.
Cappagh Orthopaedic Hospital in Dublin has received an allocation of €29,575,000, with an income target of €8.3 million.
Wexford General Hospital has received an allocation of €61,687,000, with an income target of €11.3.
St. Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny has received an allocation of €65,331,000, with an income target of €12.6.
St. Columcille’s Hospital in Loughlinstown, Dublin has received an allocation of €31,627,000, with an income target of €1.8 million.
The Regional Hospital in Mullingar has received an allocation of €66,861,000m with an income target of €9.8 million.
Our Lady’s Hospital in Navan has received an allocation of €42,059,000, with an income target of €3.6 million.
Saolta Group:
Galway University Hospital has received a net budget of €300,725,000 for 2017.
Sligo University Hospital has received a net budget of €116,784,000 for this year.
Letterkenny University Hospital has received a net allocation of €120,351,000 for this year.
Mayo University Hospital has received a 2017 allocation of €90,623,000.
Portiuncula University Hospital has received a net allocation of €60,199,000 for 2017.
Roscommon University Hospital has received a net allocation of €22,013,000 million for this year.
Saolta did not publish details of income targets for each of its hospitals in its operational plan.
Children’s Hospital Group:
Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin will have an available budget of €138.158 million for 2017, compared with €135.149 million last year.
Temple Street Children’s University Hospital will have an available budget of €94.863 million, compared with €94.618 million in 2016.
The National Children’s Hospital in Tallaght will have an available budget of €18.188 million – down on its 2016 figure of €18.707 million.
