St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin achieved a significant milestone in its Bariatric Surgery service on August 9, as it inaugurated its dedicated Bariatric Theatre and completed its 100th bariatric surgery for 2023.
The hospital said, “This accomplishment underscores our commitment to providing more timely and quality care to patients living with obesity and its complications.
“It signifies great progress for the Bariatric Surgery service at SVUH and the National Weight Management Clinic in St Columcille’s Hospital as we inaugurate our dedicated Bariatric Theatre and successfully conclude our 100th bariatric surgery for the year 2023,” said Prof Helen Heneghan, Consultant Bariatric & General Surgeon, SVUH and first female Prof of Surgery University College Dublin.
