Turn2Me, a national mental health charity, has come second in the national .ie Digital Awards in the Community Digital category. Hundreds of organisations were nominated for the .ie Digital Awards.
Turn2Me has helped over 120,000 people living in Ireland since it was founded. It offers up to six free one-to-one counselling sessions to adults, unlimited paid counselling sessions, unlimited free support groups on anxiety, depression, grief and relationship issues, and an online mood diary called a ‘Thought Catcher’.
“We get really positive feedback from our users, but to be recognised on a national level is a huge boost to our small but mighty team,” Fiona O’Malley, CEO of Turn2Me, said, “I want to commend our team for the hard work they put in, day in, day out. They are just brilliant. Everyone is so passionate about the work they do and has a real drive to help people with their mental health. Awards like these reflect how brilliant the service is, and all of that is down to the team and the board behind this fantastic charity. I also want to thank Minister of State for Mental Health and Older People, Mary Butler TD, and the staff at the National Office for Suicide Prevention, who have always supported Turn2Me’s work.”
Turn2Me’s services, including its one-to-one counselling, support groups, and ‘Thought Catcher’ mood diary are all available on its website, Turn2Me.ie. Turn2Me is supported by the HSE’s National Office for Suicide Prevention (NOSP) and offers free mental health services 365 days a year, even on Christmas Day. Turn2Me was founded in 2009 by Oisin and Diarmuid Scollard, who tragically lost their brother, Cormac, to suicide in 2003.
