The Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore’s Rapid Access Frailty Team won the Multidisciplinary Team of the Year Award at the Hospital Professional Honours 2024 in The Dublin Royal Convention Centre.
The Honours promote excellence, dedication and innovation within the hospital sector and represent a celebration of all hospital healthcare teams who work tirelessly on the frontline.
Dr Teresa Donnelly, Rapid Access Frailty Team at Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore said, “We were overwhelmed and delighted to be awarded the winners of the Multidisciplinary Team of the Year category, our team works closely together daily using a range of huddles, tools and expertise to provide timely, comprehensive geriatric assessment and intervention for older frail people who attend our hospital Emergency Department (ED). We are thrilled to be recognised for this work as we continue to improve patient experience and care in our ED.”
Congratulations also to our colleague Claire Connor, Senior Physiotherapist, COPD Outreach Team, MRHT who was a finalist in the ‘Excellence in Respiratory Care’ category for the COPD Virtual Care Programme.
