The Dublin Midland Hospital Group is to open a new National Digital Health Innovation Lab at the Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore.
This, it says, will be a focal point for the network of 25 Digital Living Labs set up across the country. The New National Digital Health Innovation Lab will be used as an innovation centre for co-designing and iterating novel digital solutions which improve care outcomes, reduce cost, improve patient and staff experience.
The Group has partnered with HSE Digital Transformation to support and encourage new digital health innovation , working with its academic partners, Trinity College Dublin Adapt Centre and Enterprise Ireland.
The Hospital Group also signed an MOU with HSE Digital Transformation and Adapt Centre, Trinity College Dublin to enter into a new research agreement that, it says, will accelerate the pace of healthcare innovation through digital technologies and redefine how healthcare is delivered, bringing together the deep research expertise of the ADAPT Centre and the clinical expertise of the HSE.
