Two new radiation oncology facilities are to be provided – one in University Hospital Galway and the other in Beaumont Hospital, Dublin. A new radiation oncology facility was opened recently in Cork University Hospital.
A Key Performance Indicator for Radiation Oncology is for 90% of patients undergoing radical radiotherapy treatment to commence treatment within 15 working days of being deemed ready to treat. In 2019, 83.5% of patients were seen within target.
