Prof. Mary Day, has been appointed CEO of St. James’s, Hospital, Dublin.
Prof Day, who took over her new post on June 15, succeeds Mr. Lorcan Birthistle, who retired, following more than 40 years in the public service.
Prof. Day has been Group CEO of the Ireland East Hospital Group since 2015 and was previously CEO of the Mater Hospital, Dublin from 2013 until 2015.
Mr. Declan Lyons has been appointed Interim Group CEO of the Ireland East Hospital Group.
