HSE CEO, Bernard Gloster received an award from Munster Technological University (MTU) at its first Alumni Awards celebration.
The awards honoured MTU alumni who had made a significant impact in their chosen fields and, through their successes, demonstrated the potential of an MTU education.
The inaugural MTU Alumni Awards recognised the achievements and impact of five exceptional MTU alumni:
Bernard Gloster became the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Health Service Executive (HSE) in March 2023. With over 34 years of experience in health and social services, he rejoined the HSE from the state Child and Family Agency, Tusla, where he served as CEO from September 2019. Prior to that, he held several senior management positions within the HSE, including Chief Officer of HSE Mid-West Community Healthcare. He has experience in managing both community and acute hospital operations.
Bernard studied Social Care at Cork Regional Technical College (RTC), now MTU, holds an MBA from Oxford Brookes University and an MSc in Management Practice from University College Cork (UCC)
