The Starling Acute Medical Admission Unit (AMAU) in CHI at Crumlin was opened in August.
The unit is a 9-bed unit that will care for children and adolescents of all ages who need acute inpatient care.
The unit is designed to help children get better faster by providing early assessment and treatment, and by helping them to be discharged home as soon as possible.
