Prof. Seán Daly has been appointed as the 40th Master/Chief Executive of the Rotunda Hospital, Dublin, for a seven year period, beginning in January 2023.
The hospital’s Board of Governors ratified the appointment following a recommendation by an Interview Panel.
Professor Daly is currently a Consultant Obstetrician-Gynaecologist and subspecialist in Maternal Fetal Medicine at the Rotunda Hospital, while also providing service at Cavan/Monaghan and Our Lady of Lourdes Drogheda Hospitals, as well as being Associate Clinical Director for Maternity Services at the RCSI Hospitals Group.
He served as CEO / Master of the Coombe Women & Infants Hospital, Dublin from 1999 to 2005, and becomes the first person ever to lead two maternity hospitals in Ireland.
