Health Minister, Stephen Donnelly has officially opened the Aberdeen Centre, a new 100 bed rehabilitation and residential unit at Peamount Healthcare in Newcastle, Co. Dublin.
It will provide 50 additional beds for specialist rehabilitation, including 25 for age-related rehabilitation services, 15 for neuro-rehabilitation for under 65s and ten for rheumatology rehabilitation.
Peamount CEO, Shona Schneeman said the new centre would mean better patient experiences and better outcomes for patients following stroke, trauma or hospitalisation.
