Since its launch in July 2024, the Virtual Ward, St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin treated over 500 patients, saved 3,820 bed days and offered a safe, efficient alternative to traditional inpatient care, Health Minister, Jennifer Carroll McNeill was told when she visited the hospital on April 2.
The hospital said the innovative service continued to improve patient outcomes, expand access to healthcare and allow patients to receive high-quality care from the comfort of their homes.
