Following a call by Tallaght University Hospital for New Initiatives Funding last year, it has announced the selection of projects for funding.

This initiative, supported by Adelaide Health Foundation, has approved 11 new projects with a total investment of €103,000.

Examples of the approved projects include, a comprehensive Pelvic Floor Clinic (Gynaecology Service); the creation of a ‘Virtual Tour of ICU’ video aimed at survivors of critical illness (ICU/Psychology); and a virtual clinic designed for patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) to assist them in managing their condition from home (Respiratory Service).

In response to this announcement, Natalie Cole, Head of Innovation at TUH, said, “We express our sincere gratitude to the Adelaide Health Foundation for their funding support, which empowers our staff to develop innovative solutions and assess these projects. The insights gained from these initiatives can enhance our healthcare delivery and ultimately improve patient experiences.”
