Applications for approval of Consultant posts were down by 36 per cent in 2024 compared to 2023, according to the Consultant Applications Advisory Committee (CAAC).
There were 347 applications for approval of Consultant posts in 2024, a reduction of 194 compared to the previous year, the CAAC said in its annual report for 2024.
A total of 346 Consultant applications were processed for approval and one post was deferred.
