The Virtual Ward programme is scaling up rapidly, providing more patients with the opportunity to receive acute care, monitoring and treatment from the comfort of their own homes. We can see from our trends that we have:
Steady Growth – The number of active Virtual Ward patients has been rising consistently, reflecting increasing capacity and demand.
Outstanding Patient Feedback: 100% of surveyed patients rated the service as “good” or “very good.”
The organisers say this progress is a testament to the dedication of frontline staff, the power of collaboration and the transformative impact of Virtual Wards in Ireland. “As the programme continues to expand, we remain focused on delivering high-quality and patient-centered care. A huge thank you to everyone making this possible”.
Milestone Reached – University Hospital Limerick and St. Vincent’s University Hospital sites have reached 50 Virtual Ward beds (25 each), a key step in expanding the programme.
