Ms. Mo Flynn has been reappointed Chairperson of the Health and Social Care Professionals Council at CORU for a four-year term.
Mo Flynn has 40 years’ experience of health and social care systems, including as Group Chief Executive of The Rehab Group from 2015 to March 2020, and Chief Executive of Our Lady’s Hospice and Care Services from 2006 to 2014. She held senior management roles in the HSE and the NHS. She is a graduate of the University of Ulster and Kings College, London from where she obtained an MSc in Gerontology.
CORU has also announced the appointment of Claire O’Cleary as Interim CEO and Registrar.
A qualified pharmacist, Claire has almost 20 years’ experience working across a range of sectors including community pharmacy, pharmacy governance, education accreditation and competency assurance. In 2020 Claire was appointed as Head of Education Quality Assurance CORU with responsibility for development and implementation of policy in relation to education to support Council and the Registration Boards. As a member of the Senior Management Team, Claire has gained extensive experience of the systems, processes and requirements which support the organisation in delivering its statutory obligation to protect the public through the regulation of the health and social care professionals under CORU’s remit.
