Cardiothoracic Surgery in St. James’s Hospital, Dublin, has become the first in Ireland to be awarded European Society of Thoracic Surgeons accreditation. in recognition of the high quality of care provided by the Thoracic Surgical Oncology Centre.
As the largest thoracic surgical oncology programme in Ireland, providing surgical care to approximately 55% of the Irish population with lung cancer, this accreditation means so much to the staff, as it acknowledges the exceptional care provided to patients.
