John Farrelly, Chief Executive, Mental Health Commission, Decision Support Service has been appointed as a member of the Governing Authority of Maynooth University.
Mr. Farrelly said, “I admire the two hundred years of academic excellence. However, it was the current commitment to and achievements in equality, diversity and inclusion in higher education which most attracted me to volunteer for this role. I look forward to working with the President, Chairperson and fellow members in stewarding our societal mandate for public good as a civic university with significant local, regional, national and international impact.
“I am happy to be part of a university which is focused on the creation of a better society, through academic and professional excellence. I believe in the power of people to imagine and create better futures for us all.
