Sibéal Carolan has been appointed Chair of the Meath Foundation Board of Directors, following the retirement of Mairéad Shields, who was a founding member of the Foundation and who worked tirelessly on its behalf for over 24 years.
Sibéal brings with her 40 years of experience in the Irish Health Service. She trained in the Meath Hospital and worked within Tallaght University Hospital for eight years. She also has particular expertise in the area of leadership, workforce development and stakeholder engagement.
Sibéal said he looked forward to leading the Board of Directors and the organisation to effective implementation of its Strategic Plan 2021-2026 and the continued pursuit of its charitable objectives and purpose.
She welcomes the opportunity to work with the Board of Directors, the Meath Foundation’s operational team and with the wider TUH community in building upon the legacy of the Meath Foundation and in promoting excellence in healthcare in the sector more generally.
