The new Children’s Hospital on the St James’s Hospital campus in Dublin will have an elevated helipad, which will have direct and rapid access to the critical care, theatre and emergency departments within the hospital.
Elevated helipads, when compared to ground helipads, increase accessibility and are widespread in hospitals across Europe. The helipad will be shared between the new children’s hospital, St James’s Hospital, and the maternity hospital which is due to be relocated to the site in the future.
