There are just a few days left to complete the national HSE Staff Engagement Survey, Your Opinion Counts, which is now being carried out across the health sector.
It commenced on September 1 and the closing date is next Sunday, September 30. It is available at www.youropinioncounts.ie
This survey is being conducted to assess current staff opinions in order to identify opportunities for improvement and builds on the work of the national staff surveys carried out in 2014 and 2016.
The survey seeks employees’ views on a range of themes concerning them directly, such as, culture and values, working environment, career progression and development, equality, diversity and inclusion, leadership direction and communications, staff engagement, managing change, terms and conditions and job satisfaction.
HSE National Director of Human Resources, Rosarii Mannion said the results of the 2018 survey would be benchmarked against best practice and used to improve the working lives of staff, leading to better service for healthcare users and better care for patients.
All staff within the health sector are invited to participate. The survey is being carried out by Ipsos MRBI, an independent research company, and takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. Participation in the survey, together with responses, are completely confidential.
“It is widely recognised that staff who are fully engaged at work are better able to give their best to patients and service users so positive staff engagement is in all our interests,” said Ms Mannion.
