Professor Martin Curley has been appointed as the new Chief Information Officer for the Health Service Executive.
He was appointed following an open recruitment campaign conducted by the Public Appointments Service.
The incoming Chief Information Officer has extensive experience in the digital sector including a number of years as Director of Intel Labs Europe and in the digital payments sector coupled with experience in public affairs and communications.
Professor Curley has worked closely with the European Commission in a number of areas including Open Innovation 2.0.
He is an engineering graduate from UCD and holds a PhD in information systems from NUI Maynooth.
