A new beginning
Since assuming office the Council and I have been working very hard on your behalf. We have begun an in-depth review of all of the Institutes’ activities which is due to be concluded in the upcoming weeks. It is the intention of Council to ensure that all of the activities of the Institute are focused and aligned to our strategic goals, which are to make a significant difference and contribution for our members and to support them in a meaningful way as we move forward. We want to make the Institute a responsive and action orientated organisation, one that is listening to its members, shaped by them and one which acts in a way that makes a difference to them and their needs.
Any membership based organisation is totally dependent on the inputs of its members, so I encourage you to participate as we reshape our Institute over the coming week andmonths.. In closing, I would like to remind you that our flagship annual conference entitled ‘New Frontiers: Envisioning success for the Irish health services’ takes place on Monday 7th October in the Gresham Hotel. All of the key individuals and senior decision makers in the Health Service are participating, so why don’t you show your commitment by attending.
