Ms. Nuala Hunt was appointed to the Board of the HSE by Health Minister, Ms. Mary Harney in November of this year. She replaces Mr. P.J. Fitzpatrick, former Chief Executive of the Courts Service and current chair of the Croke Park Agreement Implementation Body.
Ms. Hunt is a chartered accountant, chartered secretary and tax consultant, with a bachelor of commerce from UCC. She has 20 years of business experience in financial planning, management, analysis, governance and advisory across a broad spectrum of industries in both the public and private sector.
Past roles include audit manager with Arthur Andersen, and Company Secretary and Financial Controller with Paddy Power plc. Specifically in the health arena she was a former Governor of the National Maternity Hospital and was a member of the Expert Group on the Resource Allocation and Financing in the Health Sector which reported in 2010.
