Two new officers have been elected to the Board of the HMI. Mr. Gerard O’Callaghan has been elected Honorary Treasurer and Ms. Lucy Nugent has been elected Honorary Secretary.
Gerard O’Callaghan is Chief Executive of the South Infirmary-Victoria University Hospital in Cork. He was previously General Manager of Kerry General Hospital, Management Accountant for the Southern Health Board and Finance and General Services Officer at Cork University Hospital.
He is a qualified accountant (FCCA) and holds an M.Sc. in Management from TCD.
Lucy Nugent is Clinical & Patient Services Manager at the Children’s University Hospital in Temple Street, Dublin.
She has worked in the acute hospital sector for over 20 years and is a Registered Children’s Nurse and Registered General Nurse.
She holds an Honours Bachelor of Nursing Studies from Dublin City University and an Honours M.Sc. in Healthcare Management from Trinity College, Dublin.
