Pauline McGrath has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of St. Vincent’s University Hospital.

“Pauline brings with her a wealth of leadership experience in healthcare across Ireland, the UK, Australia and New Zealand, said a hospital spokesperson.
“ Most recently, she served as Group Director of Operations for Bay of Plenty Hauroa a Toi District in New Zealand, where she led 4,000 staff with a budget of $648m NZD (€341m). She has also held senior roles in Tallaght, Beaumont and the Mater Hospital, where she was Chief Operating Officer (2017-2019) – as well as Executive roles in large health systems overseas, managing teams of up to 8,500 staff and budgets of over $1.7bn NZD (€929m).
“A graduate of DIT with an MBA in Healthcare Management, Pauline is passionate about delivering patient-centred, safe, quality and integrated care within a value-based healthcare system.”
The new CEO said, “I am delighted to be returning to Ireland to take up the role of CEO at St. Vincent’s University Hospital. My focus has always been on delivering patient-centred, integrated care, something I see clearly reflected in the vision of St. Vincent’s University Hospital. I am delighted to be joining the team and continuing to deliver exceptional care to our patients every day, as well as working closely with our partners in UCD to help educate the next generation of healthcare professionals, as one of Ireland’s leading teaching hospitals.”

We wish him well in his new role as College Principal, College of Health and Agricultural Sciences in UCD.”
