Tallaght University Hospital has been awarded the Investors in Diversity Bronze accreditation by the Irish Centre for Diversity.

“This is a powerful recognition of our commitment to embedding Diversity & Inclusion into our policies, practices and culture, said a hospital spokesperson.

“This achievement is more than a badge. It is a reflection of who we are: a vibrant, multicultural workplace made up of 70 nationalities, serving an increasingly diverse community. Every day, staff bring not only their skills and compassion, but also their unique backgrounds, perspectives and stories, which is something to be celebrated.

“The Bronze award marks the start of a bigger journey, final preparations are underway for the new Hospital Strategy 2025-2029 where there will be a greater focus on building a culture where everyone feels safe, respected, and empowered to be themselves.

“Recent headlines have reminded us of the painful reality that many communities still face discrimination, hostility and violence simply for being who they are. In times like these, our role as a hospital, a place of healing and care is more important than ever. We do not just care for patients. We care for each other. And that means standing up for one another, speaking out against hate, and fostering an environment where every culture, identity, and voice is valued.”
