The Labour Court has recommended that the Special Scheme of Paid Leave for Public Health Service Employees with Long-COVID should be continued until December 2025.
The scheme had been due to conclude on June 30 last. At that time there were approximately 159 employees on the Special Scheme.
However, the Labour Court recommended a final extension of the current Special Scheme to run up to December 31, 2025. At that point, anyone remaining on the Scheme should transition to the Public Service Sick Leave Scheme.
